War on Homelessness And Hunger Solutions

For many decades, America has experienced one of the largest problems of homelessness in the developed world. The causes of homelessness in America are many, the principal being unemployment, untreated and under treated mental illness and high cost of housing. These causes may be effectively addressed by government that cares. Unemployment can be reduced by offering homeless people paying jobs in necessary public works projects, which would benefit not only the homeless, but the community aat large. Mental health of a significant fraction of the homeless population may be improved by allowing close relatives and friends greater role in the commitment and treatment of their mentally ill friends and loved ones. Various builders in the United States and abroad manufacture shed kits for sheds , which cost2,000-3,000$ for a shed of 150-200 square feet, which can be insulated, air conditioned and comfortably house 4-5 homeless persons. The cost of the kits may be borne jointly by family and friends of the homeless, as well as government. The sheds may be assembled by homeless to reduce the cost of the building and encourage homeless on a path of productivity. In Congress, Dr. Roginsky will be a strong advocate for the homeless Americans and their return to normal and productive life
